Green Can Save Green!

Finding new ways to expand in the
South Snohomish urban growth area despite all the anti-business
regulations imposed on them by the Snohomish County Council.
One
business located in the South Snohomish UGA that seems to be weathering
the actions of the Snohomish County Council is Dynamic Diesel and Bear
Alignment.
Dynamic
Diesel and Bear Alignment have been and still are seeking ways to
expand their business. They are a unique repair facility that
specializes in diesel diagnostics and repair. Their business has had
great success in repairing and servicing vehicles that require
specialized training and certifications in order to complete the
service that is required.
Unable to install or upgrade their facility Dynamic Diesel has looked
outside the box to emerging green technologies to expand their
product...read more |

Dynamic Diesel is in 2010 Top 10 Automotive Repair Websites
Courtesy of AutoInc.
One thing is certain: Shop owners are
becoming more Web-savvy each year,
and judging their online efforts is becoming tougher as a result.
As
usual, we were overwhelmed by the number of entries we received this
year for AutoInc.'s 12th annual Top 10 Automotive Repair Web Sites
awards. But our judges persevered, though we heard quite a few "This is
a lot harder than I thought it would be" comments. It's apparent that
today's automotive repair shop owners have embraced the marketing power
of the Internet.
Using
last year's judging model, our entrants were evaluated by a panel of
judges from different disciplines and walks of life. Because of the
number of nominations, each Web site was evaluated by three judges. Our
judges used set guidelines and a scoring sheet to ...read more |

Dynamic
offers super steering and super control for your RV
Courtesy of Snohomish Tribune
What drivers might not realize is
that virtually any pothole, curb or other road hazard can take a nasty
toll on a vehicle's steering and suspension system. In fact, just one
impact can jar the RV out of alignment and potentially damage
safety-critical chassis parts.
Sure
signs that your RV's steering and suspension needs to be realigned, and
could require replacement of one or more steering and suspension parts
include:
•
Tail Wagging the Dog (Rear End does not follow the Front end)
• Steering wheel off-center
• Loose steering

• Steering wander (difficulty holding the vehicle on a consistent path)
• A pull to either side
• Chassis vibration at certain speeds
• Increased road-induced noise, vibration or harshness
• Uneven tire wear
A
proper alignment requires replacement of any worn or damaged components
within the steering and suspension system. These parts can affect your
driving safety, so take your professional technician's service
recommendation very seriously...read more |

services

(Article originally appeared in the December 2007 edition.)
Snohomish, Wash. — In an
ever-expanding world of specialization, Dynamic Diesel and BEAR
Alignment Services is indeed a specialist, said Co-Owner Lindsay “Lin”
Hill, who operates the business with his wife, Lorene.
“It’s
a family business,” said Lorene Hill, who handles a variety of duties
at the business. Of the nine employees at the firm, she said five were
family members, including the couple’s son, Steve, who is the lead
diagnostician; daughter Nicole Nelson who handles bookkeeping; and her
husband, Jeff, is a technician who also handles the firm’s computer
networking.

Diesel specializes in diesel trucks and RVs

As diesel cars, trucks and motorhomes become more
sophisticated, the mechanical problems that occur become tougher to
diagnose, requiring highly trained technicians and expensive equipment.
By making that investment in training and equipment, Dynamic Diesel and
BEAR Alignment of Snohomish has become a business success story.
Lorene and Lindsay (Lin) Hill started the company with a $10,000 loan
on a truck in 1992 and have built it into a business that generated
more than $1.2 million last year.
Lin Hill entered the business with an extensive background in
automotive parts and diesel engines. He managed auto parts stores and
led a crew that did diesel marine repairs on vessels up and down the
West Coast.
Tired of the travel, he decided to open a repair shop with a diesel
specialty. From a small shop in Lynnwood, Dynamic Diesel moved to much
larger quarters in Snohomish in 2002 and expanded by acquiring BEAR
alignment, a highly regarded 55-year-old Everett company.
Steven Bear, the grandson of the founder of the BEAR alignment system,
helped make the expansion a success by bringing...read more |
